IREKS Sour Malt (Acidulated) - 55 lb. Bag
IREKS Sour Malt
IREKS Sour Malt is an acidulated malt used to help adjust mash pH while adding a gentle, clean lactic character. It is especially useful in pale beers where water chemistry matters and brewers want to bring the mash into a better pH range without relying only on mineral or liquid acid additions.
Use it in pilsners, helles, Kölsch, wheat beers, light lagers, blonde ales, and other delicate styles where a small pH adjustment can improve mash performance, brightness, and overall balance. At typical usage rates, IREKS Sour Malt should support the beer’s structure and drinkability without making the finished beer taste noticeably sour.
