Supported by Pro Brew Supply

Our team helps commercial brewers source ingredients, solve problems, and keep production moving. We are here to make buying malt easier, not more complicated.

Bavarian Malting Since 1856

IREKS has been malting in Kulmbach, Bavaria since 1856 — a town in the heart of German brewing country. Generations of malting knowledge meet modern production technology, and the result lands in brewhouses everywhere: IREKS base and specialty malts are used by large German breweries and craft brewers around the world.

We know, because we’ve been there. Over years of visits to Kulmbach and fairs from BrauBeviale to drinktec, IREKS has become more than a supplier to Pro Brew Supply — and the malting equipment inside that facility is proprietary enough that cameras stay in the parking lot. The range runs the full malt bill: Pilsen, Vienna, and Munich base malts anchor classic lager brewing, wheat and rye carry foam and body, and the crystal, roasted, and specialty malts build color, sweetness, toast, roast, and aroma. The IREKS group also includes STAMAG in Vienna, whose Wiener Malz joins the lineup we carry.

Pro Brew Supply has distributed IREKS malt in the U.S. since 2017, shipping from our Fort Worth and Atlanta warehouses with pallet and mixed-pallet freight for commercial breweries and COAs available by lot. For brewers building German lagers, wheat beers, bocks, and malt-forward recipes, this is the pedigree malt bill — with real support behind it.
