San-O2-Gard is Ace Chemical's EPA-registered peracetic acid sanitizer — an equilibrium mixture of peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and acetic acid. It's the no-rinse final step after cleaning, used across CIP pipelines, fillers, tanks, chillers, and environmental surfaces.

PAA kills fast and kills broadly — bacteria, yeasts, and fungi — and it does it at temperatures as low as 40°F, which matters in cold-side sanitation where hot water isn't an option. It works across a broad pH range, controls slime and biofilm, and is less corrosive to stainless than chlorinated sanitizers. It also cleans RO and UF membranes.

Sanitize food-contact surfaces at 1 to 6.1 oz per 6 gallons of water (roughly 200–400 ppm active), after cleaning and a potable rinse. Leave at least 60 seconds of contact, drain the excess, and do not rinse. A 1% solution runs below pH 3. Available in 5-gallon pails and 53-gallon drums.

It breaks down to water, acetic acid, and oxygen — environmentally about as clean as sanitation gets. Store the container upright in a ventilated area out of sunlight and away from heat, and keep it free of heavy metal and alkali contamination. The SDS and technical data sheet are linked below. DOT-regulated and ships LTL on your pallet only, never by parcel carrier — and we charge no hazmat fees, ever.
