Reflex is a no-rinse acid sanitizer built for CIP and COP systems — a phosphate-free blend of peracetic and nitric acid that sanitizes and descales in a single pass. It is developed for food, dairy, and beverage processing and filtration equipment, and it does two jobs at once: it kills on contact and it keeps mineral scale from ever setting up.
That second job is what separates it from a straight peracetic sanitizer. Used regularly, Reflex prevents beerstone, milkstone, and limescale from forming on contact surfaces — the deposits that otherwise force a separate acid cycle. It has a high oxidation potential and works against a broad range of bacteria and fungi in cold or warm water. Use it on stainless steel and most plastics; it is safe to store in stainless tanks. Do not use it on copper, brass, aluminum, cast iron, or mild steel, and never use it with or around chlorinated products.
Sanitize previously cleaned surfaces at 1 to 3 fl oz per 6 gallons of water (95–286 ppm active peroxyacetic acid), after a potable water rinse. Hold at least one minute of contact, keep the sanitizing solution below 140°F, drain adequately, and do not rinse. In use the solution runs about pH 2.0–3.6; hold pH 2.5–4 when you are targeting beerstone or mineral scale removal. For RO, UF, and similar membrane systems, 1 fl oz per 4–6 gallons of feed water is the minimum effective dose. Available in 5-gallon pails and 52-gallon drums.
Reflex is a strong oxidizer. Store it upright in a cool, well-ventilated area shaded from sunlight and away from radiant heat, and keep it clear of caustics, reducing agents, and iron or yellow-metal contamination — contamination shortens shelf life and can induce decomposition. Expect roughly six months of shelf life when stored properly. The SDS and technical data sheet are linked below. This product is DOT-regulated and ships LTL on your pallet only, never by parcel carrier — and we charge no hazmat fees, ever.
