Pace 376
Pace 376 - 1 Gallon Jug is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Pace 376 is a 100% active, vegetable oil–based antifoam — the silicone-free defoamer, formulated specifically for unfiltered beers. That distinction is the whole point: if you're packaging hazy, unfiltered product, a silicone emulsion isn't the right tool, and Pace 376 is. Use it in brewkettles, fermenters, yeast propagation, and blow-off buckets.
It's FDA-authorized as a secondary direct food additive permitted in food for human consumption, complying with 21 CFR 173.340 at the recommended 200–400 ppm use dilution. Converting from another program? This directly replaces Birko Patco 376, Antifoam 100, and All-Purpose Antifoam.
In the brewkettle, add about ½ fl oz (15 mL) per barrel before the wort reaches a full boil, with further additions during the boil as needed. For fermenter foam control, use ¼ to 1 fl oz (11–30 mL). Always add during agitation, and add it before foaming becomes a problem rather than after. Foaming behavior varies with beer style and yeast strain, so treat these as starting points. Available in 1-gallon jugs and a 4-gallon case of four jugs.
Amber opaque liquid with a vegetable oil odor, near-neutral pH, non-foaming by definition. The SDS and technical data sheet are linked below. Non-hazardous: ships parcel or rides your pallet from Fort Worth or Atlanta — and we charge no hazmat fees, ever.
