Kettle Wash Plus is a chlorinated, high-alkaline liquid CIP cleaner — the version of Kettle Wash you reach for when alkaline detergency alone is not enough and you need an oxidizer working alongside it. It is formulated with sodium hydroxide, water conditioning agents, and chlorine, and it is built for every CIP and COP procedure in the brewery.

The chlorine is the point of difference. It removes protein soils and the protein “bluing” that hazes stainless steel surfaces — the film that a straight caustic wash leaves behind. It penetrates, loosens, and lifts tenacious brewing soils, stays low-foaming so it recirculates cleanly through spray balls and CIP loops, controls hard water, and rinses free without residue.

For mechanical cleaning, use 1 to 4 fl oz per gallon of hot water at 120–160°F, adjusting for soil type and load, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water. A 1% solution runs above pH 12. Avoid soft metals — this is a caustic, chlorinated chemistry, so aluminum and other soft metals are out. Reach for Foam Safe instead where soft metals are in play.

Store in a cool, dry area with the container closed when not in use, and keep it well away from acids — mixing chlorinated alkaline with acid releases chlorine gas. The SDS and technical data sheet are linked below. Ships LTL on your pallet from Fort Worth or Atlanta — we charge no hazmat fees, ever.
