Foam Brite is a concentrated, self-foaming acid detergent — the acid side of exterior cleaning. It removes beerstone, hard water scale, and other mineral deposits, and it brings dulled stainless steel back to its original shine. It is built to generate copious, stable foam in hand-held and air-injected foamers, and it doubles as a strong manual acid cleaner for bucket-and-brush work.

The concentrated surfactant blend is what does the work here: it penetrates mineral scale rather than just sitting on top of it, holds foam on vertical surfaces long enough to matter, performs in hard water, and rinses free without residue. Because it is concentrated, a pail goes a long way — which is the whole economic argument for it.

Read the per-gallon number the right way. At the foam dose, Foam Brite runs about $1.09 per working gallon — four times what a CIP caustic costs per gallon, and that's exactly the wrong comparison. A CIP cycle recirculates its entire loop volume, so pennies per gallon multiply by the tankful. A foam session uses only the few gallons that actually cling to the surface: five gallons of mixed solution — enough to coat a lot of tank exterior, wall, and floor — costs about $5.44. For surface work, the unit that matters is cost per foaming session, and by that unit a pail of concentrate stretches across months of them.

For foam cleaning, add 4 to 8 fl oz per gallon of hot water to the foam tank, apply, and allow 10 to 20 minutes of dwell on stainless — but never let the solution dry on the surface. Rinse well with fresh water. On ferrous metals, keep dwell to 5 to 10 minutes and follow with an alkaline cleaner to neutralize and prevent rust, then a final clear water rinse. For manual cleaning, use 2 to 4 fl oz per gallon of warm to hot water. Heavy soil and scale may need higher concentrations. A 1% solution sits around pH 2.

Avoid soft metals — this is a concentrated acid. Store in a cool, dry area with the container closed, and keep it away from chlorinated products and alkaline chemistry.
