Clean Tap is Ace Chemical's taproom draft line cleaner — a full-strength alkaline liquid built to pull beer soils, beerstone, and mineral deposits out of draft lines. The design brief is right in the name: it delivers the cleaning power of a full-strength line cleaner with a lower caustic content, which makes it the right choice where taproom staff, not cellar crew, are running the cleaning unit.

It's highly chelated, which is what does the work in hard water: the chelant package penetrates and lifts soils, eliminates beerstone, and keeps minerals from redepositing as the line rinses. It rinses exceptionally clean — the difference between a line that tastes like beer and a line that tastes like cleaner.

To clean a line: flush the beer out with hot tap water, then mix ½ to 2 oz of Clean Tap per quart of hot water in the cleaning unit — always adding the chemical to the water. Pump the solution into the line and let it work 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse the unit and flush the lines thoroughly with hot water. If hot water isn't available, prepare the solution at 2 to 6 oz per quart instead. A 1% solution runs pH 11–12, and at the label dose a single gallon jug covers dozens of cleaning sessions.

Clear, colorless, low-foaming liquid, kosher certified. It's a potassium hydroxide chemistry — corrosive at full strength, so wear appropriate PPE, keep it off soft metals, and never mix it with acids. The SDS and technical data sheet are linked below. DOT-regulated (UN1814, Class 8) and ships LTL on your pallet only, never by parcel carrier — and we charge no hazmat fees, ever.
