Foam Safe is a concentrated, self-foaming alkaline detergent built for exterior surface cleaning in a brewery — tanks, walls, floors, kegs, and equipment exteriors. It is non-caustic, drawing its alkalinity from silicate instead, which is what makes it safe on soft metals including aluminum. That is the whole point of this product: real cleaning power that will not eat your aluminum.

It is solventized and carries a complex surfactant blend, so it is especially effective on greases and mineral oils, and it penetrates, dislodges, and suspends the soils that actually collect on brewery exteriors. It generates copious, stable foam that clings where you spray it, works in hard water, and rinses free without leaving residue behind.

Read the per-gallon number the right way. At the foam dose, Foam Safe runs about $0.66 per working gallon — more than double what a CIP caustic costs per gallon, and that's exactly the wrong comparison. A CIP cycle recirculates its entire loop volume, so pennies per gallon multiply by the tankful. A foam session uses only the few gallons that actually cling to the surface: five gallons of mixed solution — enough to coat a lot of tank exterior, wall, and floor — costs about $3.28. For surface work, the unit that matters is cost per foaming session, and by that unit a pail of concentrate stretches across months of them.

For foam cleaning, use 4 to 8 fl oz per gallon of hot water, adjusting for your foam equipment and soil load. For manual cleaning, use 2 to 4 fl oz per gallon of warm to hot water. Either way, rinse thoroughly with fresh water. A 1% solution sits around pH 10. Foam Safe contains sodium metasilicate — rinse it fully and do not let it dry on glass, where it can etch. Safe on most soft metals when used as directed, but test your use solution on an inconspicuous area or a scrap piece of similar metal first.

Store in a cool, dry area and keep the container closed when not in use. The SDS and technical data sheet are linked below. Ships LTL on your pallet from Fort Worth or Atlanta — we charge no hazmat fees, ever.
