Wyeast 1968 London ESB Ale Yeast is a good cask conditioned ale strain. This yeast produces distinctly malty beers with a fruity and slightly sweeter finish. Bright beers are achieved within days without any filtration.  

Recommended Styles include Ordinary/Best/Strong Bitters, Dark Mild, London Brown Ale, English IPA, British Strong Ale, Old Ale, English Barleywine, Wood-Aged Beer, Fruit and Spice Beers

Flocculation: High

Attenuation: 67-71

Temperature: 64-72

ABV: up to 9%

Tips and Tricks: 

Ales produced with this strain tend to be fruity, increasingly so with higher fermentation temperatures of 70-74°F (21-23° C). A thorough diacetyl rest is recommended after fermentation is complete.
