gr-tradition-cy25
GR Tradition Hops – CY25 – Spalter Hopfen

GR Tradition CY25 from Spalter Hopfen is a dependable German aroma hop for brewers building consistent lager and European-style beer programs. Bred in Hüll as a disease-resistant successor to Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, it delivers the classic Hallertau family character with steadier alpha and more predictable year-to-year performance — a strong fit for German pilsner, helles, Märzen, Festbier, Kölsch, wheat beer, and any recipe where traditional noble hop character needs to show up the same way every batch.

Expect a spicy, grassy, earthy, and floral profile in the classic Hallertau style. GR Tradition works well as the primary late-kettle and whirlpool hop where noble character should be present but composed, and its reliability makes it a practical single-hop choice when repeatable bitterness and aroma need to come from the same addition. It also layers naturally with Mittelfrüh and Perle in more complex German hop bills.

This hop is available in professional brewing formats, including 11 lb foils and 44 lb boxes. Choose the 11 lb foil for trials, seasonal releases, smaller production runs, or flexible inventory planning. Choose the 44 lb box when Tradition anchors a recurring production program and you want better purchasing efficiency — four sealed 11 lb foils per box keeps opened inventory fresh.

Hop analysis values vary by crop year and lot. The CY25 lot runs 5.7% alpha; for exact alpha, beta, and total oil values on the active lot, refer to the COA or contact our team. Cold-stored in Fort Worth and Atlanta and lot-documented from Spalt to your dock.
