gr-hersbrucker-cy25
GR Hersbrucker Hops – CY25 – Spalter Hopfen

GR Hersbrucker CY25 from Spalter Hopfen is a classic Bavarian landrace aroma hop from the Hersbruck hills — one of Germany's traditional noble varieties and a longtime staple of continental lager brewing. It's a strong fit for German lagers, bock, Oktoberfest and Märzen styles, and any recipe where gentle, old-world hop character should round out a malt-forward beer.

Expect a delicate profile: floral, herbal, and grassy, with a soft hay-like quality distinct from the spicier Hallertau family. Hersbrucker shines in late-kettle additions on amber and malt-accented lagers, where its subtlety complements Munich and Vienna malt rather than competing with it.

This hop is available in 11 lb foils and 44 lb boxes. Choose the 11 lb foil for seasonal brands like Oktoberfest, where usage is concentrated in part of the year; choose the 44 lb box when Hersbrucker runs in a year-round lager program.

Hop analysis values vary by crop year and lot. The CY25 lot runs 4.2% alpha; for exact alpha, beta, and total oil values, refer to the COA or contact our team. Cold-stored in Fort Worth and Atlanta and lot-documented from Spalt to your dock.
